Changing Site Feeds

posted by Tyrantmizar at 4:40 pm EST on October 18, 2005

By the way, I’ve changed my site feed! Blogger’s automatic Atom feed was a weary and tiring feed to upkeep (all the bugs! bugs! bugs!) So I’ve switched over to FeedBurner!

Just thought you should know…

Greasemonkey Script for Categories

posted by Tyrantmizar at 3:46 pm EST on

In my previous post I discussed how I was going to create a decent, make-shift, category system for blogger. And I did it. I took this guy’s script and adjusted it to Blogger Search. The only problem is I didn’t debug it before I uploaded it to Userscripts.org (oops! heehee) and it doesn’t work. Don’t use that one.

Use this one! (v. 0.4 Greasemonkey Script here) (v 0.5) (Install the script here) Install Greasemonkey here.

It isn’t perfect: Blogger search might pick up other instances of those words. But it is, indeed, a decent make-shift substitute for full on categories. It allows tags for Technorati too! (I think)

I will be updating the one at UserScripts.org as soon as it will let me.

Tagging and Categories

posted by Tyrantmizar at 3:16 pm EST on

I’m sick of waiting for Blogger to implement categories. Sheesh people! Go and vote for categories! It’s number 1, just click it and send it! Meanwhile, I’m going to get innovative(kinda).

My previous blog had tags for Technorati, but not categories. There was no way to organize it all by categories. I’m going to try to bend the Blogger search engine to my will and create categories. Thus, this page shall be updated several times in my quest.

And if Blogger comes out with categories tomorrow, I’m going to be simultaneously pissed off and happier than an angel on crack.
